Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information & Communication Technology is a technical institute nestled in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The institute is named after the famous industrialist of India; Dhirubhai Ambani. It was established in the year 2001 in order to fill the gap of highly qualified engineers in the field of information and communication industry. DA-IICT is maintained and regulated by Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation under the chairmanship of Anil Ambani.
DA-IICT is considered as the pioneer institute to impart under graduate and post graduate programs in Information and Communication Technology. The college offers four years full time course in Bachelor of Technology in Information and Communication Technology. The course is divided into eight semesters. The M.Tech program is a full time two years program that is open to graduates in ICT, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation and Information Technology.
Admission to M Tech (ICT) is open to those who qualify through GATE in the disciplines of Electronics & Communication (EC), Computer Science (CS) and Information Technology (IT) only. The short-listed candidates will be called for Counselling/Interviews at DA-IICT Campus at Gandhinagar. They will be required to furnish the valid GATE score details at the time of Counselling.
Eligibility :-
Candidates having/appearing for the B Tech / BE degree in ICT and other allied disciplines such as, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, IT and other allied disciplines.
OR
M Sc degree in Physics, Electronics, Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science may apply. Students with an M.Sc. degree from DA-IICT may also apply.
OR
Candidates having/appearing for MCA degree (3-year programme) may also apply.
Candidates must have 60% marks or equivalent in the qualifying degree as per the norm set by respective Institute or University in the above degree. The candidates appearing for their final year examinations of their qualifying degrees in 2012 may also apply provided they produce a provisional degree certificate or any other proof of the completion of degree certificate before 30 October 2012.
Candidates must have a valid GATE score in the disciplines of Electronics & Communication (EC), Computer Science (CS) or Information Technology (IT).
The campus has several buildings that host various laboratories and departments. All the labs are well furnished with highly maintained equipments and machineries. The campus also has a big playground that is used for carrying out various extracurricular activities. There is a separate the cafeteria, food courts, ATM, medical centre, campus shop, telephone kiosk, photocopying facility, open-air theatre. The institute also offers separate hostel facility for boys and girls.
