Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology, Hyderabad was formed in the year 1979. The institute had a modest beginning with 3 Under-graduate programs and only 200 students. Today, it has emerged into big institute offering 8 Under-graduate and 6 Post-graduate courses with a total intake of approximately 866 students. Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology - CBIT Hyderabad is ranked among Top 20 prestigious private engineering colleges in India. It has also been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation and is ISO 9001:2000 certified.

The institute has established its own identity as one of the excellent technical institutes and is getting to be known not only for its varied undergraduate courses but also Post Graduate programs. It offers full time undergraduate degree courses in Computer Science & engineering, Electronics and communication Engineering, Instrumentation & control engineering, Mechanical engineering and Information engineering.

Being affiliated to Osmania University, it offers four years full time program of B.E (Bachelor of engineering) in different disciplines. The college also provides several Master level programs that include MCA, M.Tech and M.E (Master of Engineering).

Admissions:

B.E  Eligibility :-

A Candidate for admission to the four-year degree course in Engineering must have passed the Intermediate examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects, or any other examination recognized by the Osmania University as equivalent thereto.

All the eligible applicants for admission into First Year shall have to qualify in the EAMCET Examination conducted by the Govt. of AP. The candidates will be admitted strictly in accordance with the merit secured at the Entrance Examination keeping in view the rules in force regarding the reservations of seats of various categories of candidates.

 The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirement as laid down in the AP Educational institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order 1974 as amended from time to time.

Admissions under Management Quota (30% of intake in each branch) :

The seats shall be filled either on the basis of rank  obtained in  EAMCET  or  of securing not  less than  50%  in  aggregate  or  in  group  subjects (Maths,  Physics  and  Chemistry)  in  the  10+2  qualifying  examination.

M.C.A - Eligibility :-

A candidate seeking admission into Three year MCA programme must satisfy the following criteria :

1. A candidate must have passed in any bachelor's degree with Mathematics at Intermediate (10+2) level  or should have studied a Mathematics as one of the subjects at graduation level.
2. Must have qualified in Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) conducted by AP State Council of Higher Education, Govt of AP.
3. The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirement as laid down in the AP Educational institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order 1974 as amended from time to time.

The candidates will be admitted strictly in accordance with the merit secured at the ICET.
The Convener admits 70% of the intake to the MCA programme based on the ICET rank.
The Management admits the remaining 30% under Management and NRI quota.

M.B.A - Eligibility :-

A candidate seeking admission into Two year MBA programme must satisfy the following criteria :

1. A pass in bachelor's degree in any field with 45% marks in aggrgate.
2. Must have qualified in Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) conducted by AP State Council of Higher Education, Govt of AP.
3. The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirement as laid down in the AP Educational institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order 1974 as amended from time to time.

The candidates will be admitted on the basis of rank secured at the ICET.
The Convener admits 70% of the intake to the MBA programme based on the ICET rank.
The Management admits the remaining 30% under management and NRI quota.



Facilities:

Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology is located in the capital of Andhra Pradesh. It has a Wi-Fi enabled campus and is accorded with modern infrastructure facilities. There are three hostels, out of which one is for girls. The computers lab has high speed internet connection. The class rooms have wireless LCD projectors that are permanently mounted.
