St. Ann's College for Women was founded in the year 1981 by the Sisters Society of St. Ann. It is a women college with Catholic minority and is affiliated to Osmania University. St. Ann's College for women is accredited at the 'A' Level by NAAC. The College consists of three blocks which offers a variety of courses and options varying from Intermediate to PG in Arts, Social Sciences, Commerce and Business Management and Sciences. At present the College has strength of over 2800 students and 100 lecturers.

The College is a Minority Institution, established and administered by a Catholic Minority. Therefore the minority candidates receive preference for admission. The rest of the admissions are based on merit at the qualifying exams.

Candidates should submit the application form duly filled in, within the prescribed time.
The Course combination and second Language, once opted for cannot be changed.
Facilities:
The College is housed in a 4 acre campus with spacious, well-furnished class-rooms, well-equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Micro-biology, Genetics, Nutrition, Bio-chemistry, Bio-Technology, Psychology and a Museum. A modern state-of-the-art computer center is located in a fully air-conditioned block. There is a large acoustically treated auditorium, spacious audio-visual rooms, well-furnished conference hall and a seperate block to accommodate the P.G. Courses. The digital display boards installed in the corridors show the latest updates of the events in the campus.

Placement & Career Counseling Cell is headed by an experienced placement officer as is well supported by both faculty members as well as student volunteers from all the streams. The main objective of PC Cell is to assist the students by arranging pre-placement talks, written tests, group discussions, JAM sessions, personal interviews, training for soft skills, industry visits etc. It prepares the students for the campus selections prospectively.
