Amritsar College of Engineering and Technology is an autonomous college affiliated to Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala. The institute was established in 2002 by the Amritsar International Foundation and is accredited by NBA and NAAC for engineering studies in Punjab. It is an AICTE approved and has also obtained 2000 Certification by ISO 9001. Institute offers courses at undergraduate, graduate and post graduate levels. It also provides vocational programs like hotel management and other professional courses to students. Its degree is applicable in 17 countries.

At AGC, Admission is based on ACET-EE: Scholarship cum Entrance Exam. 
 
Admission to B.Voc. Courses and D.Pharmacy, B. Sc. Medical Lab Sciences or B.A. is based on the marks obtained in higher secondary. There will be No entrance test for these courses but a candidate has to register online.
 
To take admission in B.Tech-LEET or B.Pharmacy-LEET, the marks obtained in previously completed Diploma will be considered.
 
For LEET programs of MBA/MCA or MCA 3-year degree,admission is based on the marks obtained in the graduation.
 
For M. HMCT/M.Tech, admission is based on the marks obtained in the graduation degree.
