Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University is state university dedicated to study and research in faculties of veterinary sciences, dairy technology and fisheries sciences. Carved out of four Agricultural Universities in the State by transferring five Veterinary colleges, one postgraduate Institute and one dairy technology college, a dairy technology institute and a diploma institute this university offers graduate and post graduate degree courses in the faculties of  veterinary sciences, dairy technology and fisheries sciences.Apart from education and teaching MAFSU is known for its research and extension activities. Striving towards its vision 2025 this university envisages to be a globally recognized university of excellence specializing in animal, veterinary, dairy and fishery sciences and technologies.
