Central University of Kashmir formerly known as Central University of Jammu and Kashmir is funded and regulated by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Offering innovation and quality in teaching this university follows school system of study and choice based system in letter and spirit for its integrated academic degree , diploma and certificate programmes. Aiming to give updated and
holistic information the university prefers the regular update of courses of study with academic freedom that enables aspirants to choose core and elective subjects of study. CUK is also known for its university level centers (University-Industry-Community-Interaction Centre (UICIC), Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Student's Guidance and Counseling Centre, ICT Facilitation Centre) that aim at accessing and improving the overall quality of education.
