Applicants for a teaching program with Turkish as a teaching subject need to take a language exam before they apply and submit proof upon enrollment that they have passed.
Aptitude test for teaching program in sports and BA program in human movement
Applicants to teaching programs with sports as a teaching subject and to BA programs in human movement need to take an aptitude test at the University before they apply and submit proof upon enrollment that they have passed. This also applies to applicants who want to minor in human movement programs.

Masters Program Admission:-
Universität Hamburg offers two kinds of master's programs:
Consecutive master's programs build upon specific bachelor's programs. As a rule, they are two to four-semester programs which build upon, deepen or expand previous bachelor's programs by adding an interdisciplinary focus.
Non-consecutive master's programs do not build upon specific bachelor's programs. They have the same prerequisites, however, as consecutive master's programs and they confer the same qualifications.

If there are more applicants to a master's program than there are places available, a selection procedure takes place. Selection is based on aptitude and motivation, which means: based on your grade point average in your first-degree program and/or your previous academic achievements at the time you apply.

The main campus is located in the central district of Rotherbaum, with affiliated institutes and research centres spread around the city state. There are about a 180 properties that scattered throughout the city that make up the University of Hamburg. The Main Building stands on the Moorweide opposite Hamburg Dammtor station, not far from the main campus at Von-Melle-Park.
The State and University Library Hamburg, the Auditorium and several other teaching buildings are all located in that area. A second cluster of university buildings are grouped around Martin Luther King Square in the same quarter.
The Geomatikum marks the western end of the campus, near Schlump Metro Station. Several departments are located in other quarters: Physics is spread over branches at Jungiusstraße, Bergedorf (along with the Hamburg Observatory) and Bahrenfeld (with the world-renowned DESY and other facilities). Biology has locations in Flottbeck, while Computer sciences were moved to Stellingen in 1991. The medical school is located in the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf.
In addition to this the university also oversees three museums: the Zoological Museum Hamburg, the Mineralogical Museum Hamburg and the Museum of Geology and Paleontology Hamburg.

Student Accomodation:- The districts Sankt Pauli and Sternschanze are trendy and immensely popular in terms of student accomodation. The main reason for this being the close proximity with the university. Appartments and rooms in Altona and Ottensen are in equally high demand as are the expensive districts bordering on the Alster Lake.
