Loyola School, Jamshedpur was promoted in the year 1947 by the Society of Jesus, a Roman Catholic religious order founded by St. Ignatius Loyola. Loyola is a day school from kindergarten to higher secondary and is owned and managed by Loyola Jamshedpur, a registered society.

Affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi, the school aims at preparing students to become professionally competent citizens with concern for the underprivileged and aims to build a just society.
