Kendriya Vidyalaya Picket came in to existence on 1st July 1964 when KendriyaVidyalayaSangathan took over the Air force School in Picket. The school made a humble beginning with about 50 students in classes VI to IX and ten teachers.  
 
The school started working in shifts in the initial stages, with the primary in the mornings and classes VI to XI in the afternoons. As per the practice in those days, children were diversified in to science and humanities streams at class IX itself.
 


Admissions:
Applications for admission are only issued for LKG and for classes above IstStd would be subject to available vacancies.
 
For admission process parents need to visit school's official website by first week of February.
