Kendriya Vidyalaya, INS Hamla, Malad(West), was established in August 1972 as a Defence School. It is the only Kendriya Vidyalaya in the Western Suburbs of Mumbai. It offers Science, Commerce and Humanities streams at +2 levels.

The Vidyalaya is proud of a team of well qualified & dedicated staff. It is making rapid progress under the dynamic leadership of Principal with co-operation of VMC, PTA & Patronage of Assistant Commissioner who are the guiding force for the 1499 students (approx).

The Vidyalaya caters the needs of the children of three wings of the made forces: Army, Navy and Air Force with Other PSU's like Banking Sector, other General Public.
 



Admissions:

The applicants are required to strictly adhere to the age norms set by the school.

Application form duly filled in should be submitted on the scheduled time. Late submission of application form will not be accepted.

Incomplete or illegible forms will not be accepted.

List of children selected for admission will be put up on the notice board on the scheduled date / time.

Vidyalaya has 39 class rooms along with other class rooms for - Yoga, Drawing, SUPW, Sports, Music, Examination, Teaching Aid, Library, MI room, Career & Guidance and Staff room.

Vidyalaya has facilities for outdoor games like - Basket Ball, Hand Ball, Hand Ball, Kho-Kho, Kabadi in Vidyalaya and foot ball, badminton, boxing, swimming and cricket provided by Sponsoring Agency - INS Hamla. It has facilities for indoor games like - Table Tennis, Chess and Carom.
