Gopi Birla Memorial School was started in the year 1953 by Shrimati Gopi Birla to meet the long felt need of a Girl’s School which would equip them for a fast changing society. The guiding spirit of the school was instrumental in making it one of the leading institutions in the city. In 1970, it became affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education.

Faculty: The school is supported by a team of experienced faculty, skilled technical staff and excellent non-teaching staff.



Admissions:

Admission Forms will be available in the school office in the month of December.

For Nursery Classes: The completed forms with a photocopy of the Birth Certificate have to be submitted on the   assigned date mentioned on the forms. Admissions will be finalized in the month of February.

For Grade I to X: Application letter may be submitted from December. A copy of the current report card must be attached. Admissions depend on availability of seats and on the performance in written tests.

Student’s admission is based on merit and number of seats available.



Facilities:

GBMS is a six storied building housing all the important infrastructure and facilities for the teachers and students. Classrooms are spacious with adequate ventilation and natural light. There is a LCD projector and internet connected computer in each class. School Library has a total stock of over 45,000 books and numerous magazines. It also includes facilities such as laboratories, separate rooms for Visual & Performing Arts, Counselor’s Room, Sick Bay, Two well equipped Computer labs, Spacious Terrace for conducting Physical Education classes, etc.
