Gokhale Memorial Girls' School was founded on the 20 th of April 1920 by Smt. Sarala Ray.

Gokhale Memoral Girls’ School is Affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education New Delhi. School will follow CBSE curriculum from the new session i.e. January 2015.

For Class XI Eligibility: 
Written test is taken before admission.
(A) Science : 80% marks in Aggregate, 80% in Mathematics and 80% in Science group. 
 
Test: Bengali, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology test is taken 
 
(B) Humanities / Commerce: 70% marks in Aggregate, 80% marks in Mathematics 
Test: Mathematics and Bengali test.
