Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj was founded in 1991 and is considered among the top schools in India.It is affiliated with the Central Board for Secondary Education. This school offers holistic and over all development of students. It moulds and shapes students careers by imparting quality education. 

 

 

Faculty:- The School is supported by a team of experienced faculty, skilled technical staff and excellent non-teaching staff. It has a combined strength of  208 teachers at the senior level 1 Principal, 1 Vice Principal, 50 PGT's and 62 TGT's and junior level 94 PRT's.

Facilities:

The School offers lavish infrastructure with all modern amenities like three libraries from Class II to Class XII. The libraries are divided standard wise the junior school library is for the students from Classes II  to V and middle school library is for the students from Classes VI to XII, while the 3rd library is devoted to the specific needs of  students of Classes X to XII.


Laboratories - The school has different types of labs like Multimedia Lab offers learning aided by sound an graphics. The Lab has 23Multimedia PC with all required software packages.  Internet Lab allows the students as well as faculty to research the information on the global network during and after the school hours. A Block Computer Lab helps the students of class XI and XII learning C, C++, Visual Basic and Oracle. The school also includes modern computer facilities with high speed internet connection, Auditorium, Canteen.

Games & Sports - The school provides sport facilities to the students and provide  physical training for each pupil. The school offers the following games like basketball, football, tennis and cricket.

Medical Facilities - The School Clinic is a well equipped, seven bed facility headed by a qualified and experienced doctor. It conducts regular medical checkup of the students and also maintains the records.

Transport -  The school offers transport facilities for the students
. The school owns 17 buses together with private and DTC buses. The bus fees ranges from Rs. 1050 - Rs. 1550 per month.

Hostel - The school provides hostel facilities and has three storyed brick structure housing for 36 boys and 36 girls. It has a grand dining halls for both boys and girls. There is also a recreation room with a T.V and a music system

Club & Council -

Quiz Club - The school conducts quiz competition and the students participates in inter-school and inter-zonal tournaments across the country. The club also participates in the annual Japan Quiz, and won an all-expenses paid trip to a quizzing tournament in Japan in 2008.

Environment Club - The school has a beautiful environment club and has more than 100 active members.  A herbal garden has also been set up several plants of medicinal value are being grown and maintained.

Consumer Care Council - It spreads information on consumer awareness rights, duties, responsibilities and acts against malpractices like false claims, adultery, high prices, poor service and deceptive packing
