Blind School was commenced in the year 1972 and  is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi (CBSE). This School imparts students with quality education and also works for the prevention of Blindness. It is now actively engaged in the Education, Training & Rehabilitation of Blind children. It has now strength of 98 boys and 55 girl students in the hostel.



Admissions:

Admissions are open to both boys and girls without any discrimination of caste, creed, region, religion etc. provided the child is visually impaired and is certified by the Eye Department Govt. Hospital Sector-16, Chandigarh that the child is mentally sound and is having no communicable disease.



Facilities:

The School have separate hostels with suitable facilities of solar water heating arrangements, TV and indoor games, well stocked library etc.

Extra Curricular Activities : - The School students also take active part in the Curricular Activities like Annual Cultural Functions, musical competitions, paper-reading competitions which is organized by other institutions.
Health Care : - The School main aim is to take care of the students like for eye-checkup and screening camps with the help of Doctors.
