Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute was established in the year 1985, run by the Indian Air Force Educational and Cultural Society. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. It provides the mentally handicapped children, an opportunity of receiving education in the atmosphere of a normal school. It is open to children of Army and Navy personnel as well as to civilians. The school has maintained steady progress since beginning in both curricular and extra-curricular activities.


Faculty :- The school faculty consists of competent and experienced professionals. Mrs. Shipra Sarcar is the principal of the school. The senior wing is headed by the vice principal Ms. Poonam Rampal. The junior wing is headed by Ms Jyoti Bhutani. The special wing is headed by Mr. Amresh Chandra.

 



Admissions:

Parents are suggested to meet Head Master Special Wing along with the child and his/her medical & educational reports .With Chairman’s office permission suitable dates are given for Assessment
            
Child has to undergo detailed assessment for admission which includes:-
Special Education ,
Occupational Therapy,
Psychological Testing ,
Physiotherapy,
Medical ,
Speech therapy & social worker.
These assessments usually takes 2 days to get completed.
            
Child’s suitability for the special wing and class is decided based on the assessment reports . Chairman’s approval for the same is must.

Filling of School Admission form, Submission of school fess, Application for Bus /Transport, Purchasing of School uniform.



Facilities:

The school is located in an extensive 15 acre situated in the Delhi Cantonment.  The senior and junior wings are situated in different blocks. The school offers lavish infrastructure with all modern amenities like

Library - The school library has a rich collection of 16000 books, reference material, educational CDs, national and international journals. A good number of magazines and periodicals are also available.

Labs - The school has excellent laboratories such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology labs. The labs are equipped with the latest scientific instruments.

Auditorium - It is equipped with state of the art sound and light facilities and is used for major school functions, theatre and dance presentations and for guest lectures.
