IGNOU PhD in Journalism & Mass Communication Admission:-

Minimum Duration: 2 Years

Maximum Duration: 5 Years

Eligibility:-

Age - No age bar

A candidate will be eligible for admission and registration for the PhD Programme provided he/she has Masters Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with fifty-five percent marks and an MPhil from any recognised University or Institution of Higher Learning.
Or
Masters Degree with fifty-five percent marks in any subject, with five-years experience in the Media Industry/Teaching/Research in Mass Communication.


Panjab University Chadigarh Ph.D Journalism and Mass Communication:-

Duration:- 3 years

Seats:- 24

Eligibility:-

A candidate who has obtained a Masters' degree (at least 55% marks for General Category and 50% marks for SC/ST category) in aggregate from the Panjab University or any other University recognized by the Panjab University or have appeared in the final year Masters' examination in the subject concerned shall be eligible to appear in the PhD entrance test.

The test will be of two Papers. Initial evaluation will be of Paper- I (Objective type). Only if the candidate obtains 55% (50% for SC/ST) marks or more, Paper II will be evaluated.

The test is usually conducted in the month of July/August. Forms are usually available in May


MICA Ahmedabad Fellow Programme In Management Communications (FPM-C):-

Eligibility:-

Applicants must have a Masters Degree/an equivalent qualification with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in any discipline of the Humanities /Social Sciences / Business Management, having Communication/Journalism/Advertising/Public Relations/Media/Marketing as a subject. The candidate also should have completed a three-year Bachelor's degree/an equivalent qualification, after completing higher secondary (10+2) or an equivalent.

Or

At least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a Five year Integrated Masters Degree Programme from any discipline of the Humanities /Social Sciences / Business Management, having Communication/Journalism/Advertising/Public Relations/Media/Marketing as a subject, obtained after completing higher secondary (10+2) or an equivalent.

Selection Procedure:-

Written Test:- The Written Test will examine the candidate's (communication) theoretical understanding, the ability to investigate a communication phenomenon and the ability to interpret data and draw conclusions.
Group Discussion (GD)
Individual Presentation (IP) - The candidate will be given a presentation topic on the spot. S/he will be given 90 minutes to prepare and 15 minutes to present to a panel of experts. Candidates will be required to make PowerPoint (PPT) presentations. A computer will be allotted to each candidate for creating PPT. Candidates may bring their own laptops as well. However, each candidate will be required to bring a USB flash drive.
Personal Interview (PI)

JMI Delhi Ph.D in Mass Communication:-

Eligibility:-

Candidates should have completed their post graduation (M.A) in Mass Communication with 55% marks or Masters in any other relevant subject with 55% marks and a minimum of 5 years relevant teaching or professional experience in the media.

The candidates should pass the entrance tests stipulated by the university ordinance on Ph.D.


Acharaya Nagarjuna University PhD in Journalism Admission 2015:-

Eligibility: M.Phil in Journalism or mass communication or Masters degree in journalism and mass communication from a recognized university. M.A/M.Sc in visual communication from a recognized university with minimum 50 percent marks.
