You may have certainly heard of AIMA's Management Aptitude Test (MAT) but are you aware of UGAT. If not and you want to know then your are certainly on the right page. Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT) is a standardized test conducted by AIMA annually for admission to under graduate programs of BBA, BCA, BHM, integrated MBA into institutes, colleges and universities of the states of Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamilnadu, Uttarkhand and West Bengal. These colleges together are known as UGAT participating institutes. Candidates who have passed class 12 or equivalent examination or who will be appearing for class 12 exam are eligible to apply.
Aspirants have an option of selecting five participating institutes for admission. The data and score of candidates is provided directly to the participating institutes. Institutes / Colleges / universities can decide on the cut-off score for admission or for further screening based on the number of seats available.

It is an objective type test. The test is designed to measure a candidate's general aptitude and technical skills. Also, there will be negative marking for wrong answers.

UGAT Preparation:- Planning and dedication are the keys to do well. First all plan a timetable for study keeping in mind your strengths and weaknesses. Allocate sufficient time for study, revision and solving of sample papers. Sample papers are an important component of UGAT preparation. They not only prepare you for the exam but also help you to assess your preparation. Most of all do not worry and stick to the basics always.
