Osmania University directs Osmania University Ph.D. Eligibility Test for admission to Ph.D. programmes in faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Commerce, Management, Education, Law, Science, Oriental Languages, Engineering, Pharmacy and Informatics. The basic objective of this test is to assess the aptitude of aspirants wishing to apply for Phd in Osmania University. Ph.D. aspirants with post graduate qualification from a recognized university are eligible to apply for this assesment. UGC- NET / CSIR - NET / ICMR/ ICAR / DBT- JRF/ INSPIRE fellowship and Teacher Fellowship aspirants are exempt from appearing for this entrance test that is conducted for Ph.D. Admission at Osmania university.
 
Eligibility for Osmania University Ph.D Eligibility Test 2022:-  
 
The candidates who have passed the Master’s degree in the concerned subject with a minimum of 55% marks (50% in the case of SC/ST/BC/PWD candidates) or equivalent are eligible to apply.

However, the following categories of the candidates are exempted from appearing in the Ph.D. Entrance test.

Those who are awarded Junior Research Fellowship in a national level test namely UGC/ CSIR/ ICMR / ICAR / DBT/ INSPIRE fellowships

However, if any of the above category candidates wishes to get admission in Category-II, then he/she needs to get through the O.U. Ph.D. Entrance Test – 2022.

Osmania University Ph.D. Eligibility Test 2022 Paper pattern:- 
 

 
The Entrance examination is conducted through computer based test (CBT) mode for 70 marks consist of 70 multiple choice questions (MCQ’s).

The Entrance Test will consist of any 3 or 4 varieties of objective type items such as analogies, classification, matching, comprehension of a research study / experiment / theoretical point of view, etc., with multiple answers besides the usual multiplechoice items. The MCQs will be framed only from the syllabus of Entrance test

The medium of Entrance Test will be in English only,except for language subjects.
