    Master of Arts in History offered by Sri Venkateswara University Distance Education is two years duration course and comprises of four semesters. Candidates seeking admission into this course must have graduation degree from recognized university.


    Duration    :- 2 years


    Eligibility for Admission:-

    • I Year : A candidate seeking admission into the First Year ( Previous) M.A. Degree in History shall be required to have passed any Degree of this University or its equivalent thereto.
    • II Year : A candidate seeking admission directly into the Second Year ( Final ) should have registered for the M.A.History First Year examination of this University either regularly or privately under Annual Pattern


    Fee Structure:-

    Candidates seeking admissions into this course have to pay the following amount duly drawin in favour of The Registrar, S.V.University, Tirupati, payable at State Bank of India/Andhra Bank, S.V.University Campus only.

    I Year Rs. 2380 ( for SVU Graduates)
    Rs. 2525 (for other than SVU Graduates)
    II Year Rs. 1855

    History of Modern India (1757 – 1856 A.D.)
    History of East Asia ( China & Japan) (1840 – 1970 A.D.)
    Historical Method and Historiography
    Social and Cultural History of India up to 1206 A.D.


    Second Year


    History of the Freedom Movement in India (1857 – 1947 A.D.)
    History of Modern Andhra (1766 – 1972 A.D.)
    Economic History of India (1800 - 1947 A.D.)
    History of U.S.A. (1865 - 1963 A.D. )
    Social and Cultural History of India (1526 –1947 A.D.)
