Think of VOD (Video on Demand) and the first name that comes to mind is that of CDEEP IIT Bombay. CDEEP is the Center for Distance Education Engineering programme of IIT Bombay. The main function of this school is the transmission of IIT Bombay's lectures for major courses through satellite and internet. Transmitted both live and exclusive these lectures are taught by IIT faculty. Also known as Moodle which is Learning Management System (LMS) this module helps learners to participate in extended live classroom and offline classroom discussion. One course comprises of 40 hours of lectures. Candidates wishing to attend these courses need to register at a remote center. Students who register for these courses are not awarded a degree or diploma but receive a letter of enrollment from IIT Bombay.
