University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) was established in the year 1917 by Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya, and was affiliated to University of Mysore. It is one of the oldest technical institutions in the country, imparting technical education leading to B.E, M.E, B.Arch, M.Sc (Engineering) and Ph D degrees in the various disciplines of Engineering and Architecture.

The college is approved by the AICTE and the Government of Karnataka and departments are accredited with five A+ for three years by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi. UVCE has a NAAC rating of 5 Star for the past 4 consecutive years.
 


Admissions:

Admission to UVCE can be done through online or offline process. Forms will be available on the college’s official website.

Aspirants need to have the valid scores of Karnataka CET/ PGCET/ GATE entrance exam for pursuing admission in the college. Selection will be strictly done on the merit basis and further students will be called for Personal Interview.

The institute provides its students with opportunities for exploring and enhancing their talents not only in the Technology but also in extra- curricular activities. Institute has a well furnished campus which includes air conditioned classrooms, lecture halls, library, seminar rooms, labs, open air theater, food court, separate hostels for girls and boys, temple and sports complex.
