Sivanath Sastri College was established in the year 1955 by Ananda Mohan Bose. Sivanath Sastri College is considered to be one of the oldest and prominent institutes in Kolkatta offering wide range of under graduate courses in the field of  not only undergraduate courses in the field of Arts, Science and Commerce. It is recognized by the Universal Grants Comission and is affiliated with the University of Calcutta.

Sivanath Sastri College is girl’s college, which is best known for its commerce program. It offers B.Com Hons degree, which is a three years full time program. It also imparts courses like B.Sc and B.A.
