Sardar Patel Post Graduate Institute of Dental & Medical Sciences is located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The institute was started by ‘Sardar Patel Shikshan Samiti’, which is a registered Public Charitable Society. The college is renowned for providing world class  education to those students who are willing to make career in the field of medicine. It is affiliated to Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad. Balrampur Hospital is attached to Sardar Patel Institute of Dental & Medical Sciences.

Sardar Patel Post Graduate Institute of Dental & Medical Sciences imparts course in dental sciences at undergraduate and postgraduate level Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS). The courses are imparted according to the guidelines of the Dental Council of India (DCI).
 


Admissions:

AGE
A candidate must have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or shuold be completing it by the 31st December of the year for his/her admission for the five year degree course of B.D.S.

QUALIFICATION
Candidate seeking admission to B.D.S. course, should at least have completed their intermediate (10+2) or equivalent examination from any recogined Board / University with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English and must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the above sunbects or in any higher examination.

SELECTION OF CANDIDATES
Selection of the candidate will be solely on the basis of merit of Combined Entrance Examination - UPCAT / CPMT. Only the meritorious candidates will be selected.

DURATION OF THE COURSE
The under radute training program leading to BDS degree will be of 4 years. During this period, the student is required to be engaged in full time study as per norms laid by Dental Council of India. One year rotatory Internship is compulsory at the end of the course.
