Founded in the year 1999, Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology (RGCET) is a premier private engineering institute managed by Sri Balaji Educational and Charitable Public Trust and affiliated to Pondicherry University. College aims to provide quality collegiate education from under graduate to post-doctoral programmes and ensure high standard of behavior and discipline amongst the student’s community. It offers B Tech, M Tech, MBA and MCA.

B Tech: Candidates for admission to the first semester of the 8 semester B. Tech degree programme should be required to have passed:  Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
 
MCA: Recognized Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 yrs duration with Mathematics at 10+2 level, Obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination.
 
MBA: Recognized Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 yrs duration, Obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination.
