National Institute of Technology is a public engineering college in Raipur, Chattisgarh that was established in year 1956. The institute strives to be a premier institute recognized for excellent technical education, training and research. It is approved by A.I.C.T.E. (Govt. of India).

Being an Institute of National Importance, it offers a wide variety of undergraduate technical courses such as Civil engineering, Computer engineering, Metallurgical engineering, Electrical engineering, Electronics and communication engineering, Information technology and Mechanical engineering. The institute also endows two years full time Master level program in the field of technology and Sciences.

NIT Raipur is located in the capital of newly formed state Chattisgarh. It is stretched over a vast land of 100 acres, 5 km away from Raipur station and 14 km away from NH-6, The Great Eastern Road. It is one of the biggest campuses amongst all the technical institutions of Chhattisgarh. The campus comprises of the main institute building, six hostel blocks, residential quarters for teaching and non-teaching staff, a bank, a separate PWD and electricity office for campus maintenance, a well equipped dispensary and a well maintained guest house.
