Modern College of Pharmacy was established in 1998 at Nigdi, Pune. The college is approved by Government of Maharashtra, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), recognized by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and permanently affiliated to University of Pune.
Under the leadership of Principal Dr. P. D. Chaudhari, the institute is running basic undergraduate course in Pharmacy (B. Pharm) and four post graduate courses in Pharmacy i.e. M. Pharm in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology and Quality Assurance Techniques (QAT).
The candidate should have passed H.S.C. examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Educational or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory along with one of the following subjects Mathematics / Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science and secured minimum 45% marks (minimum 40% marks in case of candidate of Backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) and MH-CET.
Institute's campus provides an ambiance that stimulates intellectual thinking and academic interaction. The facilities include classrooms with multimedia equipment/overhead projectors, faculty and administrative blocks, a state-of-the-art library, modern computer labs, and a three-storey student residence.
The T&P cell provides ample opportunities for placements and career development by organizing seminars, workshops and training programs for enhancing the personality traits and facilitates the transition of students from academics to corporate life.
