Mahendra Engineering College is an Autonomous Institution and an ISO 9001:2008 certified institution. The College is offering 14 Undergraduate and 9 Postgraduate courses in Engineering. It is affiliated to the Anna University and is approved by the AICTE. Founded in 1995, it aims to ensure the effective use of resources to mould the students as professionals and entrepreneurs.

College admits all the students under government quota allotted through single window counseling by Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) and Tamil Nadu Common Admission (TANCA).
