Started in the year 2009, Madhuben and Bhanubhai Patel Women Institute of Engineering for Studies and Research in Computer and Communication Technology (MBICT) is not only the first engineering college exclusively for girls across Gujarat, but also the first college to introduce a need-of-the day courses like Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Institute offers 4 year Bachelor of Engineering Degree programmes namely, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Information Technology and Information & communication Technology and aims to become benchmark technical institution where learning is a joy, education is for tomorrow, research and development is pace setting.

The candidate seeking admission after H.S.C. must apply to the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Ahmedabad. A merit list is prepared and candidates get admission in branches of their choices at various colleges of Gujarat according to merit.

Facilities:
The institute is housed in four different wings. Apart from large and ventilated classrooms, all the laboratories have state-of-art infrastructure in the real sense of the term. All the laboratories are outfitted with hi-tech equipment. LCD projectors, computers and laptops are often used to help the students learn the subject with visual effect. A full-fledged library incorporates numerous volumes and forty-two international and national journals. It is open for all the students and staff members. Separate hostel facility for Girls is available on the campus which includes lodging as well.
