Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeswara Dental College is a constituent college of JSS (Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeswara) University, which is a deemed university established in the year 1954. The university is named after a famous architect and founder of JSS Mahavidyapeeth, Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji. It is situated in Mysore, Karnataka.
The university is known for offering a wide range of courses medical and Para-medical courses. JSS University formed its dental wing in the year 1986-1987. Being a separate wing for dental education, Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeswara Dental College offers under graduate course of BDS, which is five years full time course and post graduate course of MDS. MDS is a three years full time course. All the dental courses are affiliated to JSS University and are accredited with the Dental Council of India.
Entrance examination is been conducted for getting the admission in to this college.
Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeswara Dental College is located amidst 46 acres campus of JSS University. The college features spacious lecture halls, auditorium and a huge library. All the science labs are well maintained with modern apparatus. The College also offers separate hostel facility for boys and girls. It also imparts excellent facilities to those students who are interested in research level programs.
