Institute of Chemical Technology, formerly the department of Chemical Technology is a chemical engineering institute that was founded by the University of Mumbai under the aegis of industrialists and philanthropists. Ever since its inception in the year 1933, the institute has been on the path of success due to its excellent pedagogy on chemical engineering, technology and Pharmaceuticals. Institute of Chemical Technology has been awarded with the status of a deemed university in the 2008 and was granted full autonomy to set its own curriculum.

ICT Mumbai University has received a huge accolade for its contribution in the chemical research industry through its various under graduate and post graduate programs. The institute offers four years full time programs in different disciplines that include Bachelor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Technology in Oils Technology, Bachelor of Technology in Pharmaceutical Technology and Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering.

Facilities:

Along with all these Under Graduate courses, it also imparts two years full time programs in Master of Technology in Perfumes and Flavors, Master of Technology in Bioprocess Technology and Master of Technology in Chemical Engineering. Institute of Chemical Technology is nestled in Mumbai. The campus is sprawled over 16 acres of land that features lush green gardens that are conducive to an all round development of the engineering aspirants. The campus has several buildings that include three boys’ hostel, two girls’ hostel and the apartments for staff and faculty. The library has a unique collection of several books on chemical technology and chemical engineering. It has 38200 books, 25290 journals and 10000 standards and subscribes 120 international and 25 national journals.
