Founded in the year 2009, Himalayan Institute of Engineering & Technology is promoted and fully funded by the MaaSaraswati Educational Trust. The B. Tech and M. Tech degree courses are approved by AICTE and affiliated to H.P. Technical University, Hamirpur. It aims to provide serene and secure environment and quality education to students.

Exams: JEE (main) and HPCET
The admission to the first 50 % of the seats shall be made on the basis of merit score obtained in joint Entrance Examination (Main) and HPCET.
In case the seats remain vacant after exhausting the merit of JEE (main) and HPCET, the remaining seats will be filled up on the basis of merit of 10+2 examination conducted by recognized Board or University.
The admission to M. Tech degree courses shall be made onthe basis of merit of Valid GATE Score.
