Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana is one of the oldest technical schools in Northern India that is known for offering excellent education to those students who aspire to become an engineer or aim of achieving higher position in the field of IT. The institute was founded in the year 1953 by the Nankana Sahib Education Trust (NSET). It is affiliated to the Punjab Technical University.

The college is an ISO 9001-2000 certified company; NBA accredited, and has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with IOWAC University [USA] for exchange of students and faculty.

The college is basically known for imparting excellent education to those students who aspire to become an engineer in different branches such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering and Industrial Engineering.
