Government Engineering College Aurangabad was established in the year 1960 with an aim to impart technical & other essential education of high standard and to produce cultured engineers and to grow and set up a center of excellence in the field of technical education. The college became an Autonomous Institute of Government of Maharashtra and has also got the TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme) grant.
It offers BE programs in six disciplines, MCA and ME programs. The college was ranked No. 1 all over India in the TEQIP survey for academics in engineering colleges in the year 2009-10. It had also hosted the national level Technical Festival, Wings.
 

Admissions:
Applicants willing to seek admission in the institute can register through online or offline process. Application forms will be available on the official website of the institute.
Institute accepts valid scores of MHT-CET entrance exams for various programs. Along with the scores, candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (Std.XII) examination of the Maharashtra State, Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Selection will be completely done on the merit basis and will be called for group discussion and personal interview.
