The Department was established by Madhya Pradesh Government in 1947. At present, department offers Undergraduate course in Architecture & Post Graduate course in Urban Planning. The department has other areas like urban sustainability, urban infrastructures etc. developed technical expertise in the field of low cost building technology and appropriate technology energy efficient architecture, urban sustainability. It aims to produce quality human resource of high standard in mechanical engineering who can contribute favorably to the technological and socio-economic development of the nation.
