University of Mumbai established the department of Biotechnology in the year 1997 in order to impart world class education to those students who want to enter into the field of Biotechnology. In last 15 years, the college has gained a wide recognition for its excellent academic curriculum and modern infrastructure facilities.

The department offers two years full time Master degree of Science with specialization in Biotechnology. During the course, the students are equipped with new and emerging theories that will be required in future in the field of biotechnology.
