Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, previously Chhotu Ram State College of Engineering was formed in the year 1987. It is considered as the premier government engineering college in the State of Haryana. The institute had a modest beginning with only 30 students in each branch of Mechanical Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. It has been named after the great Freedom Fighter Sir Chhotu Ram.

The University offers 8 undergraduate and 3 postgraduate courses in the field of Engineering and Management. It has 10  Departments namely Chemical , Mechanical , Electrical , Electronics and Communication , Computer Science , Bio Technology , Bio Medical , Architecture , Humanities , Applied Science .


Admissions:

For admission to B.E./B. Tech. Bio-Technology, the candidates should be a pass in 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics or Biology as compulsory subjects along with any one of the following subjects:
(a) Chemistry
(b) Bio-Tech.
(C) Computer Science

Basis of Admission for B.E. /B. Tech.:

Admission shall be made on the basis of the inter-se-merit of AIEEE-2009.
Eligibility and Basis of Admission in B. Arch.

Haryana Govt. general rules/guidelines specified in Prospectus/Admission Brochure -2009 for Engineering/Technical Courses issued by Department of Technical Education, (Haryana State Counselling Society)  Haryana shall be followed in the matters of reservation policies, requirement of certificates for various reservations and criteria for preparation of Merit List etc.

Minimum eligibility for admission to B. Arch.

(i).  10+2 or equivalent from a recognised Board/University with Mathematics as a subject of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks.

 OR
10+3 Diploma (Any stream) recognized by Central/State Govt. with 50% aggregate marks.

OR

International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.

(ii) Merit list shall be based on aggregate marks of +2 and NATA score on the ratio 50:50.

(iii).In order to pass NATA Test a candidate must obtain minimum of 40% marks.For admission to B.E./B. Tech. Bio-Technology, the candidates should be a pass in 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics or Biology as compulsory subjects along with any one of the following subjects:
(a) Chemistry
(b) Bio-Tech.
(c)  Computer Science

Facilities:

The college offers well equipped and modern infrastructure to both, students as well as teaching staffs. It has spacious class rooms, conference halls with highly furnished interiors. The institute also has well maintained library that has a wide variety of books on different subjects for students. There is also hostel facility for the students.
