Chitkara School of Planning & Architecture in Chandigarh is a university that was founded by the Chitkara Educational Trust in the year 1998. The University mainly deals with under graduate architect program. The institute is accredited with A.I.C.T.E. (Govt. of India) and affiliated to Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar.

Being one of the leading colleges in Chandigarh, It offers five years full time program of B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) and two years full time course of M.Arch (Master of Architecture) with specializations in Architecture, Construction Management and Interior Design.


Admissions:

10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board/University with Mathematics as a subject of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks.
OR

10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Governments with 50% aggregate marks.
OR

International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.


NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture)

A national level online test coordinated by NIASA (National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture), Pune – Academic Unit of Council of Architecture.

Prospective applicants desirous of taking admission to First year of undergraduate course in Architecture (Bachelor of Architecture) in India take NATA.

Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture is a designated test centre for conducting NATA since 2006.

Over the last two years more than 360 students (200 in the present year) have appeared for NATA from CSPA.

The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportions, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking that are related to the specific field of study, i.e. Architecture.



Facilities:

The University is nestled near Patiala National Highway, which is 30 kms away from Chandigarh. It lies amidst 50 acres fully residential campus that is divided into clusters of buildings. It has well maintained book library, computer lab with high speed internet connectivity. All the science labs are highly maintained and have been equipped with modern machineries and equipments. The institute also offers separate hostel facility for boys and girls. The institute also offers various facilities such as separate hostel facility, canteen, and medical facility.
