Black Diamond College of Engineering & Technology was started in the year 2008 and is affiliated to the BijuPatnaik University of Technology, Rourkela. It offers undergraduate technical courses in various disciplines with an objective to educate and train young blood to develop managerial skills.

Admission to the four year degree course leading to Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) is through the Joint Entrance Examination Main, JEE(Main) conducted each year by CBSE, New Delhi for admission to the Engineering Colleges of Orissa.
The minimum eligibility for appearing in JEE(Main) is passing in +2 science or appearing 10+2 examination of CBSE or equivalent, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Should obtain at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.
