Promoted in the year 1975, Bal Bhavan School, Bhopal is a co-ed school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school caters to about 2400 students from class I through XII attended by 106 faculty members.

Admission will be based on the combined marks of the candidate in the written examination and personal interviews.
A common entrance test is held in last week of March every year for admission up to classes X and in last week of June for Classes XI-XII.
Candidates selected for admission are expected to join in April/July.
Parents are required to accompany the candidates for personal interview.
The child will be tested on the knowledge of the class he/she is studying in at the time of the entrance test. The test will not be based on any specific text book, but shall be based on the general level of the class.
